Friends from out of town are welcome to bring their sleeping gear and spend the night at the dojo.

*Every year, the Aikikai World Headquarters hosts a very special tradition called "Etsunen Geiko" (year-end practice). Aikido practitioners gather from far and wide to train together during the last half hour of the year and first half hour of the next. After class they celebrate the start of the year with light snacks and Japanese sake.

Women's Self-defence Workshop

Aikidaily is happy to be working with Close Combat Concepts (CCC) to bring a unique women’s self-defence workshop to Squamish.

Andy Steel, head instructor at Close Combat Concepts, served 10 years with the British Forces. Including 2 years in anti terrorist duties. coupled with over 30 years of martial arts studies starting at the age of 11 and 20 years of teaching self defense to the public, police and security professionals.

CCC’s objective is to provide exceptional self defense and personal protection techniques. Andy Steel, head instructor, developed a defense system which comes from over 70 years of tried and tested practical techniques that have been used and proven to work on various terrains and conditions.

Our 2-day course will give you techniques that are easy to learn, teaching you natural moves for various possible confrontations providing you with excellent tools and skills to address or remove yourself from any situation that may arise.

The movements are very natural and basic so once learned they are not forgotten.

This is not a martial arts class. This is a no nonsense effective self defense system. Our 2-day Course is limited to 20 people. Participation in both days is required.
