6 Week Beginner's Aikido Course

Are you interested in trying Aikido?

We are offering a 6 week introductory course in Aikido starting on Wednesday, October 2.

No experience with Aikido? Not a problem. Here is your chance to try it now.

This course will introduce you to basic Aikido movements and principles, including how to fall and roll safely, moving your body in a coordinated manner, staying off the line of attack, and breaking someones balance while maintaining your own. This course will prepare you for the next level of your Aikido journey.

What is Aikido?

Aikido is a traditional none-competitive Japanese martial art that focuses on blending and re-directing your partner's energy to create a positive outcome. Individuals work a their own pace in a cooperative and harmonious environment.

What is the schedule?

The course is every Wednesday beginning October 2, and finishing on November 6.

There are 3 classes to choose from every Wednesday; mornings from 6:30 - 7:30 am, mid-day from 12 - 1 pm, or evenings from 7 - 8:30 pm.

What does it cost?

$100 will grant you 6 weeks of classes.

What to wear?

Loose fitting clothes with long sleeves and long pants are ideal.

If you have an uniform, you are welcome to wear it.

Please make sure to remove all jewelry for safety and keep your nails trimmed for safety.

What’s after the course?

Once you join the club, receive a free uniform and start attending regular classes.

Aikido Beginner's Seminar

This seminar will focus on the basics for beginners.

Date: January 13 (Sat)

Time: 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Venue: Aikidaily Ineternational Academy

            #205 - 1201 Commercial Way, Squamish

Fee: Fees are $10 per class or $25 for the whole seminar.

1st class is 12:00-1:00, will be taught by Ramin Arvin Sensei 5th dan and will focus on ukemi (falling) and connection.

2nd class is 1:10-2:10, will be taught by Grant Babin Sensei 4th dan and will focus on body movement.

Step 1 Course

Once again we have launched our Step 1 Course. This offer will get you started learning this wonderful form of self-defense. You will be introduced to some of the basic principles of Aikido including falling, footwork, pins, throws, in a fun and cooperative learning environment.

Purchasing the Step 1 Course allows you to attend up to 20 regular classes over 2 months, receive a brand new uniform (value of $85), book a 30 minute private lesson with our Chief Instructor and receive a beginners handbook.
